Students will learn about the Global Village theory and how social media is bringing us even closer. They will focus on how social media in particular has helped people in struggle spread the word about injustice and protests that normally the world would not see from a personal level and how that attention has helped (and harmed) some causes. Then, they will create their own social media campaigns for issues they feel passionately about. Emphasis on the language we use to persuade others to act, promote awareness, and to communicate on social media platforms.


This set contains a complete MYP unit plan, a customized Padlet full of multimodal texts and resources, a digital student interactive notebook, summative assessments, and more.
