This unit is meant to harness all of the skills the students have trained over the course of their personal projects and put them fully in charge of their 9 week program. Their project goal is to create a compelling campaign and have members of the student body join a service club they develop in this unit to carry out projects for the next 2 years for CAS. At its core, the club project focus should be leveraging technology or science to work toward a SDG goal in their local context. This can range from social media campaigns, building apps to track their club activities and coordinate them, applying existing tech to work on current issues, or even inventing new tech to solve a problem.
For these 9 weeks, they will investigate CAS, their passions, stakeholder needs in their area, persuasive tools, and either preparing for a campus speech or filming a PSA. All of their work will help them have a leg up at the beginning of DP because they will already have a huge CAS club organized and ready to take action!
